Resolution

151st Czech Rectors Conference Plenum Meeting

Hradec Králové, 6 June 2019 PDF

Czech Rectors Conference (CRC) Plenum adopted at its 151st Meeting the following resolution:

  1. CRC supports the position of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in the negotiation of strengthening the institutional part of the budget for 2020 as well as for the coming years. CRC considers the increase of CZK 880 million as the minimum for 2020.
  2. CRC is convinced that the amount of co-financing in the future JAN AMOS KOMENSKY Operational Programme should not increase compared to the current situation. Ex-post financing of projects is unacceptable from the point of view of public higher education institutions due to the way of their funding.
  3. CRC welcomes the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports intention to open a discussion on the future model of doctoral studies financing and a discussion on university sports support.
  4. CRC expressed its consent with the principles of research organizations evaluation in the higher education sector (Modules 3 to 5 of the Methodology 2017+) and handed over a structured summary of individual CRC members’ comments to the Research, Development and Innovation Council and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
  5. CRC supports the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports opinion on the VAT Act amendment, the consequences of which will have a harmful effect on budgets of higher education institutions.
