143rd Czech Rectors Conference Plenum Meeting

Czech Rectors Conference (CRC) Plenum adopted at its 143rd Meeting the following resolution:

  1. CRC supports the 2018 higher education institutions state budget proposal that includes the funds increase of 3 bill. CZK and CRC calls on the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic to approve this proposal.
  2. CRC calls on the new Minister for Education, Youth and Sports to discuss the prospects for changes in higher education institutions funding and to work towards an increase in higher education institutions budget in the coming years.
  3. CRC continues to consider the issue of students in fields of study with ending accreditation as serious and unresolved. Therefore, CRC asks the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education to finish urgently the negotiations to solve this problem.
  4. CRC asks the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to apply for a block exemption from the ban of public support for education within operational programmes at private higher education institutions in the Czech Republic.
  5. CRC calls on the Government of the Czech Republic to finalize the 17+ Methodology for Science, Research and Innovation Evaluation.
  6. CRC asks the Government of the Czech Republic to correct errors in 2015 Science, Research and Innovation Evaluation. CRC demands financial compensations for the aggrieved higher education institutions.
