Resolution

Czech Rectors Conference (CRC) Plenum adopted at its 139th Meeting, CRC Annual Assembly, the following resolution:

1. CRC approved the Annual Report on the CRC Activity in 2016 and the Report on the Audit of the CRC Accounts 2016.
2. CRC approved the CRC budget for 2017.
3. CRC established a working group to prepare the evaluation of higher education institutions in compliance with the Methodology of Evaluation of Research Organizations and Evaluation of Programmes of Specific Support of Research, Development and Innovation approved by the Government of the Czech Republic.
4. CRC appreciates activities of the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education as well as good mutual cooperation. However, CRC recommends that the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education shall not require for its activities in the future public higher education institutions to deliver repeatedly materials that are valid for a long time for the higher education institutions and basically do not change.
5. CRC deems that it is necessary to fund within the Call 02_16_019 Excellent Research of the Operational Programme Research, Development and Education as many projects with good evaluation as possible. CRC asks for an increase in fund allocation for the Call.
6. CRC supports the draft University Hospitals Act.
7. CRC supports the efforts of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports to increase the budget of higher education institutions of 4.5 billion CZK for the year 2018 as well as to increase the funds for institutional funding of creative activity. Regular increasing of these funds is a necessary condition for improving educational and creative activities of higher education institutions.
8. CRC together with the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic request an increase of institutional support for research activities of higher education institutions and of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
