133rd Czech Rectors Conference Plenum Meeting

Czech Rectors Conference (CRC) Plenum adopted at its 133rd Meeting following resolution:
- CRC points again to the level of funding of the Czech public higher education, which is unacceptable in the long term, and refers to the decrease of the budget share for public higher education institutions in GDP by more than 25%!
- CRC appeals to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Government of the Czech Republic for adjusting the medium-term plan for funding of public higher education institutions to meet the needs of high-quality higher education.
- CRC welcomes efforts of the EU Operational Programmes Section of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to set criteria for the calls of the Operational Programme Research, Development and Education that will be clearly defined and enabling preparation and implementation of high-quality projects.
- CRC points to complications related with the inclusion of public higher education institutions in the scope of the Act on selected data collection for monitoring and management of public finance.

CRC debated parliamentary amendments proposed by members of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic
on the Higher Education Institutions Act amendment and the CRC statement is as follows:
Approving attitude: A, B, C7, E, F, L1, M1, N1, O.
Neutral attitude: C2, C3, L7, L9, L11.
To the parliamentary amendments G1 and G3, the attitude of the CRC Chamber of Public and State Higher Education Institutions Rectors is neutral while the attitude of the CRC Chamber of Private Higher Education Institutions Rectors is disapproving.
Strongly disapproving attitude: K1, L6, L8, L10, and all the other parliamentary amendments.
